Visionael, supplier of IP service automation software, realigns management team following acquisition of Defero

Visionael, a provider of IP service automation software, has announced staff appointments and a realignment of its leadership team. The changes follow the company's recently completed acquisition of Defero, a Swedish telecommunications software vendor.

Joining the Visionael executive team and reporting to president and CEO Craig Nichols are: Leo Palmberg, vice president of service automation and business consulting, Gordana Cirkovic, vice president of product management and field operations and Michael Cabot, vice president of marketing and communications.

In addition, Visionael's general manager of EMEA and APAC, Laurence Malroux, has been promoted to senior vice president of global sales and business development.

Leo Palmberg was the co-founder and CEO of Defero prior to its acquisition by Visionael and now serves as VP of service automation and business consulting. Prior to Defero, Palmberg held a number of sales and management positions at Utfors, an MPLS-based service provider.

As VP of product management and field operations, Gordana Cirkovic is responsible for Visionael's product line strategy and service organisation, with the charter to deliver new OSS solutions. She previously served with Cramer Systems (now part of Amdocs).

VP of marketing and communications Michael Cabot leads Visionael's marketing efforts. Prior to Visionael, he held senior management positions at Nokia, Palm, Sony, Sanyo and Reebok.
