Masergy deploys ADVA FSP 150 to flexibly deliver Ethernet services to enterprise customers worldwide
Announced Date: 3/26/2012 Published Date: 3/27/2012

ADVA Optical Networking, a supplier of optical Ethernet transport solutions, has announced that Masergy of Plano, Texas, a global provider of virtualised MPLS-based Ethernet services with customers in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, has selected ADVA's FSP 150 to deliver intelligent Ethernet services to enterprise customers worldwide.

Featuring ADVA's Etherjack technology, the FSP 150 Ethernet access solution provides Masergy with service intelligence and end-to-end network monitoring for parameters such as availability, latency, jitter and packet loss and enables the delivery of differentiated, carrier-grade Ethernet services with guaranteed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

In addition, via remote OAM capabilities the solution enables Masergy to test and resolve potentially service-affecting issues throughout the network.

With ADVA Optical Networking's QoS implementation, Masergy is able to prioritise and deliver video traffic, voice traffic and data services globally.

ADVA quoted Terry Traina, VP of Engineering at Masergy, as saying:

  • "Our clients often require multiple VPN services on the same circuit to maximise network efficacy, so flexibility is a critical component of our service offerings... that is why we use ADVA's FSP 150 to provide these rigorous global Ethernet services".

  • "The FSP 150 allows Masergy to standardise on a single access device to expedite service delivery while ensuring that we meet the strictest of SLAs".
