The Communications Platforms Trade Association (CP-TA) has announced that Polaris Networks has taken the lead from ESO Technologies to continue development of the ATCA-Tester.

The ATCA-Tester serves as the IPMI Manageability Test Tool for CP-TA’s certification test suite. Polaris has also joined CP-TA as a contributor member.

The ATCA-Tester is an automated software tool for testing the hardware management software implementation in AdvancedTCA and AMC-based building blocks or systems. Polaris Networks will be responsible for sale, support and further development of the product.

Bud Biswas, Polaris President, said, "Polaris has developed and marketed a variety of test tools for industry alliances and technologies such as WiMAX, EPCGlobal (RFID) and WiFi. As a contributing member, it will share its expertise and test system development experience with CP-TA in its interoperability testing and certification program, not only for AdvancedTCA, but for AMC and MicroTCA testing as well".
